Bullet Journal – September Cover Page

September was quite the month! As you can see (hopefully), my theme for the month was the Northern Lights!

For the cover page, I wanted to do something different. I thought it would be interesting to take my watercolor paints and try this out with a fully black background. I’m pretty happy with how it turned out, though I think it could’ve been better if I had planned it better.

At the end of the month I traveled to Copenhagen, Greenland, and Iceland for work. It was a very fast-paced trip with lots of flights, but I enjoyed myself. I initially had wanted to do a Nuuk, Greenland theme with the colorful houses but at the beginning of the month I wasn’t sure that the trip would actually happen. There were a lot of issues that popped up and everything was pretty unorganized with the tradeshow that I was attending. It all worked out in the end though and I made it there!

I didn’t get a very good view of the Northern Lights when I was there, but on two of my flights the flight attendants let us know that if we looked out our windows we could see the lights. I tried to get photos, but they weren’t great through the window of the plane. It was pretty cool to see though. It looks like something that shouldn’t be happening, it’s weirdly beautiful.

Iceland has always been a place I’ve wanted to travel, but I was surprised at how much I really liked Copenhagen and Greenland as well. I was only in Copenhagen for one night, but I got to walk around a little bit and it was a very nice city. Honestly nothing could’ve prepared me for Greenland. It was insanely beautiful, but also like taking a step back in time where the areas are very small and haven’t been developed the way that cities are here in the US. It was super interesting and I’m really glad I got the opportunity to go.

I was glad to be home and to get back to normal. Work trips are always exhausting for me, and I’m looking forward to Halloween and having fun in October.
