It’s Just A Bunch of Hocus Pocus

I Smell Children Hand-Painted Wood Sign

I know we’re past Halloween, but it can still be spooky season in November, right?

I wanted to share a little bit more about what I’ve been working on with my home decor signs. I mentioned it in my last post and I’m really excited and have so many ideas that I’m working on.

In October, I went on a little bit of a Hocus Pocus kick with my Halloween decor. Even painting a huge sign for outside that I had seen on Pinterest.

Every time I’m in home decor stores, it’s hard for me to justify spending money on signs when I know that I can paint them myself. I love painting and often have re-created art that I’ve seen on Pinterest for my home decor.

I decided to give it a shot and paint a few Hocus Pocus themed signs for Halloween, and I think they turned out really well! I know it’s a little late to be promoting them, but I still wanted to share them with the world.

I plan on working on more fall signs next and then some for Christmas. Like I said before, I have so many ideas so I’m really excited to put them to work. I’m going to be selling them on my Etsy Shop: Kayla Cropper Art

This is something that I’m really enjoying doing, so I hope other’s will enjoy my work too. If you have some time, please check it out! 🙂

Bullet Journal – October Cover Page

Happy Halloween!! It’s crazy how quickly October flew by. I can’t believe we’re heading into October already, didn’t 2021 just start?

The last few years I’ve always made my October theme the same as my Halloween costume. This year, I was Medusa for Halloween!

I felt like I was very busy this month. Since getting a puppy it feels like life just keeps speeding up. I even took off a week from work this month hoping to catch up on things, but I still felt like I was just going going going. It was nice to have that break from work though, not gonna lie.

I’m also working on getting more products up on my Etsy page. I’ve been working on some ideas for signs as home decor for different holidays. I’ll post the Halloween ones that I did soon. I have so many ideas, but again just need the time. Maybe I’m crazy for adding something else to my schedule, but it feels right to finally be doing something that lets me be creative and that I enjoy doing. I am really excited to see where this can go, so fingers crossed!

Bullet Journal – October Cover Page & Monthly Spread

So this is really late…I know, I know. October has been a crazy month. I feel like I was really busy and had a lot going on. I don’t know, there really isn’t any excuse, I just dropped the ball with posting.

I actually felt really good this month. I got to spend some time with friends and get out of the house a few times. Halloween is also my favorite holiday, so having the house decorated and everything just made me happy. Trick or treating was definitely different in my neighborhood, but we had a pretty good turnout for it being during a pandemic. I love the kids, they’re the best part of Halloween.

I decided to go with a Coraline theme for the month. I actually dyed my hair blue and dressed up as Coraline for Halloween. It was super fun. Here’s a picture of me with my button eyes:

Honestly not too much else to say. Things are pretty much still the same, but I feel really good. Ready for next month!
