Since I received the Rimmel London Stay Matte Mousse Foundation free for testing purposes from Influenster, I decided to make a post showing my every day make up look and the products that I use.
So far I really like this product. Even though it feels sort of like it would be heavy, it smooths on the skin very nicely and feels so light it’s like I’m barely wearing any makeup. The coverage is also a plus, it covers we enough that I don’t need to use any other concealer.
So my first step when I do my everyday makeup is to put on the foundation. I generally put it on my finger first and place dots of the foundation on my forehead, cheeks, and chin. I then use a concealer brush to blend it in and cover my entire face.
Ahh! I hate pictures of myself with no eye makeup on. After I put on the foundation, I use powder to set it. The foundation is actually very matte, so you don’t really need powder, but my face tends to get pretty oily throughout the day (gross!) so I like to keep it in check with the powder.
Getting my foundation and powder perfect takes the most amount of time (The whole makeup process takes about 10-15 minutes altogether, so it’s a pretty quick look). After I’m done with the basics, I start on my eyes.

My eye shadow palette! I got it from 5.7.9. at the register, it was pretty cheap from what I remember.
I love this eye shadow palette, I wish I had more opportunities to wear the colored ones. For the inside corners of my eyes I used the shadow on the top left. For the outside I used the shadow second in from the bottom right. I then used a blending brush to make the colors look more natural up against each other.
After I have the shadow looking the way I want, I line the top lashline only. I don’t usually wear eyeliner on the bottom lashline because it makes my eyes look sort of sleepy.
I absolutely love this liner. It’s liquid, but it has a felt tip that makes it so much easier to use. In the past I never used liquid liner because it would always end up in my eye and burn! My mom actually bought this for me by accident one time and I’ve used it every since. The final step in my makeup process is mascara.
I don’t really have a preference for mascara, I usually just buy whatever is cheapest, but I actually really love this one. The brush is curved and really lets me get those hard-to-reach lashes without poking myself in the eye. I’ve also had it for some time and it doesn’t really clump my lashes together. Plus, it actually looks better the more coats I put on. Sometimes I go for the really thick lashes and they look great.
It’s simple, but here’s what my eye looks like after all the makeup I put on it. And here’s the final look…
Thanks for reading! If anyone actually follows this and does a similar look, I’d love to see pictures! ALSO! Share your own beauty looks with me and I’ll try them out as well!!
xoxo
